Breeder recommendations in California

Blue, lilac ethical breeder is an oxymoron.
An ethical breeder wont have blues and lilacs.
Gets tiresome doesn’t it? Feels like a losing battle.
Seems to be more and more all the time. People either dont know or dont care.
[Bigbulldogs.com](https://Bigbulldogs.com). Todd is a serious breeder of French and English bulldogs.
They’re frowned upon for a reason. You may know cane corses but French Bulldogs suffer genetic issues when you try to introduce colors where they don’t naturally exist. Breeding or buying them represents a disrespect and cruel attitude toward the breed. An ethical breeder would NEVER risk the health of their damn, sire or gene pool for this fad bs. Then OP wants to perpetuate the genetic problems and breed the mutant. You are what we actual Frenchie lovers call a GREEDER. Get an education, both of you. Because of these genetic mutant effects, so many Frenchies are being surrendered to rescues the ENGLISH Bulldog club had to start taking them in. Be part of the solution for gawds sake and stay away from the breed.
I apologize for my brusqueness but really weary of people breeding against the standard. You are not even schooled on the breed and you want to have puppies. Why? Are you anticipating a big pay out from it? Honestly I don’t even know what ‘lilac’ is but just google, ‘do blue French Bulldogs have health problems’. If there’s even the risk of one problem (alopecia) it’s unethical to take it. Do some research on the ridiculous growth of debilitating skin allergies within the breed, the growing rate of cancer, blindness and deafness. Refer to the French bulldog club of America website for complete breed standards and their view of fad colors. My dogs are not show dogs nor are most dogs in the world but I don’t pass on their flaws to another whole generation or 10 of puppies. Beside the genetic issues that stem from this fad color breeding you have the puppy mill and black market explosion due to ‘novelty’ of paying in the range of 10K for these ‘rare’ dogs. Google ‘the Jordan 16 French Bulldogs’ and get an idea of what has transpired since the inception of designer dogs. By no means is this an isolated incident. The only anomaly is that they were rescued. If you kept seeing something you loved being abused on a grand scale you would start to lose your patience with the offenders or those that aspire to it.
